EC ERROR IN AIR CONDITIONER

Nowadays, many Air Conditioners of various companies show  EC, E6, E4 errors. According to the companies Error code booklet, these errors are of a shortage of Refrigerant(Gas). EC error doesn't appear directly after turning ON the Air Conditioner, it takes time nearly about 30 - 40 minutes. During this time period, the AC compressor turns OFF almost 3-5 times and after it turns ON and OFF then the error appears.  Those technicians who encountered these kinds of errors said that after a proper balancing of the backpressure of the gas and proper working of the Air Conditioner(cooling ) then also the Error doesn't go off.

Causes of the error:

  • If the Air Conditioner is installed by the Unskilled or Newly joined technician then this problem arises as the New or Unskilled Technician may not have followed the guidelines on how to install the Air Conditioner properly and by not taking preventive measures.
  • The technicians who are new to this field may not take preventive measures as they do not Vacuum the Indoor Unit properly and due to which when they release the flow of Refrigerant then some Air bubbles stay inside the unit pipes. Due to this, the Sensor present inside the Indoor unit doesn't detect the cooling and the AC PCB does not get a proper Resistance value, in this conditioner Compressor turns OFF and shows the Error.

Detection of the error is difficult for unskilled technicians or consumers because there is slightly a minor change occur that can't be easily traceable as the Air Conditioner works properly and the cooling is also good.

Air Conditioners of very old model develop these kinds of errors because of the following reasons:

  • Blockage of Capillaries.
  • Leakage of Refrigerant.

The solution to getting rid of the error:

In many AC PCBs, this problem can be solved by BYPASSING the Coil Sensor. Defrost System turns OFF by this method and the rest of the functions will work properly as it works earlier. For BYPASSING, we have to stable the 3volt  by removing the coil sensor in Old model Air Conditioner.

In the latest AIR Conditioner models, this BYPASSING of Coil Sensor does not work. For this, a separate circuit has to be installed. If anyone is interested to get one can contact us...
