IPM is a combination of IGBT   

and bridge drive chip which is a vital compact electronics part for every compact thing like BLDC motors that are mostly used in all kinds of Refrigerators and Air conditioners.

there are a lot of pins put on the Ipm and these pins assigned the various type of work such as Dc input voltage, AC output voltage, Input signal voltage, sensors signals, etc.
